In my six years of working at weddings I’ve been to most of the venues across Manchester – but Hope Mill Theatre was a new one for me! Not far from the city centre, Hope Mill is a theatre, restaurant and wedding venue all rolled into one, with an industrial/vintage-style interior. It was the perfect choice for Andy and Georgia’s alternative, cactus-themed wedding!
They chose to get legally married earlier in the morning with only close family as witnesses, which left them free to select the celebrant they wanted for their actual ceremony in front of all their guests. Choosing to do the legal part of marriage before your wedding day means you can have a much more personalised ceremony, and not worry about paying more for extras such as for readings and live music. It also means you can choose who takes the ceremony – otherwise it can be pot-luck which registrar you’ll get on the day!
Andy and Georgia had also, very thoughtfully, laid out some food for their guests before the ceremony, as the meal was still some 4 hours away. I thought this was a great touch! I also really loved the origami bouquets and decorations which was a really unique idea.
It was a lovely, relaxed day, with no formal group shots leaving the couple free to chat away to their guests through their whole drinks reception. I was second shooting this wedding with the lovely Rebecca Wade Photography. Hope you enjoy the gallery!
